If our tracecard can make it to Winnepeg, maybe we can make it to the end of the semester! Phase One: ModificationWe need change the way we think about these objects moving! We started a while back making models of the data we have been receiving from our website. They were basically showing the info traveling through the site and being collected through the website and the connections that happen in between the two. We have posted some pictures of these. After speaking with Brad and Marcella, we realized that we needed to look beyond the website and the objects to develop a device that can be interactive within the site. From there, we have come up with several new approaches especially the sensory tracking of people’s traces to create responsive interactive site elements such as seating, planters, rubbish bins, etc.We are sharing some of the good precedent data we found also with this post. Phase Two: Process optionsWe have discovered a plethora of ways to go with this sensory device to pertain to traces on the site. Our next step will be doing the research to come up with new creative ways to accomplish it and start to make new animations based on this new idea. Once again, we are focusing on three factors: movement within the site, location, and time just as before with the tracecards.
